My mother loves daylilies. Her gardens were a mix of many varieties of daylilies in yellow, orange and deep red, and I particularly liked those with lots of spots and speckles. When I saw the wonderful peach and red Carolina Lilies, with their dramatic dots, curving petals and dramatic arches, I fell in love. The curve of the petals, and the hanging stamen remind me of twirling dancers with their elegant legs and ballet slippers.I've added graceful ferns, lacy leaves and a painted paisley to accompany the spotted florals. The colors are Ruby, Peach, Grass and Aqua, with a few pops of Teal. Yes, that means there are five new Thatched colors to complement the collection.I hope you enjoy the drama of this Carolina beauty - my Carolina Lilies.
